Our client based in Oxfordshire are a busy family of five with 3 young children. The kitchen serves as the heart of their home, a central space where cooking and mealtimes bring the family together.
The family approached us with a vision of a spacious, light filled kitchen that feels warm and inviting. They envisioned soft greens with natural oak cabinets to create a calm, welcoming atmosphere. A large island with seating was a key feature, providing a central space for the family to gather and enjoy mealtimes together. A walk in pantry was an essential element of the design, along with a dresser to conceal small appliances and maintain a clean, uncluttered look.
Results
A striking skinny shaker style kitchen centered around a distinctive T-shaped island that gives the space a bold presence. The main cabinets are painted in Card Room Green by Farrow & Ball and the walk in pantry and dresser are complimented by beautiful, slatted cupboard doors crafted in natural oak adding warmth and texture to the design.
The kitchen is truly bespoke in its design, with custom features including a hidden knife drawer, extra cupboards concealed underneath the kitchen island seating area and a custom drawer with integrated charging points to keep cables neatly out of sight. Bi-folding doors fitted to the dresser allow small appliances to slide out easily, avoiding the need to lift and move them onto the worktops.
The client was thrilled with their dream kitchen. The space blends functionality with modern family living incorporating bespoke features that enhance usability while creating a dramatic presence the moment you walk in.
