Overview
A quintessential cottage on the edge of the Cotswold’s ready for a kitchen update as part of a renovation project. The client wanted to keep the traditional country kitchen look as they had wooden beams, flagstone flooring and uneven walls that would need cupboards tailored to fit the space. To honour the history of the cottage, the client required bespoke oak cabinets designed to feel as though they had always belonged, blending in with the character of the house and eluding the look of newness.
Results
We used an ageing process to enhance the woodgrain and bring out the natural character of the oak doors and frames. Butt hinges and a Shaws Classic Belfast sink added a traditional feel to the kitchen.
A Perrin & Rowe 3 in 1 hot water tap and American style Fisher and Paykel fridge blends old world charm with modern luxury.
Overall, the result was amazing, the client was delighted with the classic warmth and rustic feel of their country style kitchen.
