Overview
Our Stratford Upon Avon client wanted to create a quiet space where the family could catch up on paperwork, the kids could do their homework, or they could simply read a book in peace. Plenty of cabinets and shelving was required to maximise space for their literary collection and family photos. An area to store wine was also required to be included in the cabinet design. To add warmth to the room the client wanted a stained oak desktop to be situated at the end of the room where the most light came in from a newly installed skylight.

An open dresser cabinet painted in De Nimes by Farrow & Ball with cupboards below fitted with brass grilles by Armac Martin, provides ideal storage for folders, paperwork and the clients printer. Among the highlights of this project is the custom stained oak wine rack featuring a cross section design. We stained the oak desktop to match the feature wine rack, giving the space a warm and inviting feel.
