At Monkeywood, we design and craft luxury kitchens and fine furniture, based on the edge of the Cotswold, it’s a location that inspires us every day.
We believe that luxury lies in the details., every one of our projects is crafted to order, no standard sizes or off the shelf solutions. For us, colour and texture set the tone of a space, we’re drawn to rich, rustic tones – warm reds, earthy greens and soft neutrals, that echo the Cotswold landscape and create a welcoming feel. These colours pair beautifully with natural materials like aged brass, limestone, stained timber, granite and marble.
The heart of many of our projects is the kitchen and we often take inspiration from traditional country styles, refined with a modern edge. A popular choice is shaker style cabinets with beaded frames, handcrafted with precision and designed to last a lifetime. Our love of timeless materials goes beyond the kitchen, we craft bespoke dressing rooms, boot rooms, butler’s pantries and utility rooms that bring elegance and functionality together.
The Cotswolds is a place that values quality and character and is renowned for its unspoiled countryside, often described as the ‘real life postcard of England’ with rolling hills, chocolate box villages and medieval market towns.
The Cotswold stone buildings have a warm, golden tone that feels both historic and elegant. Some of the most picturesque villages you will find here are: Burford, Bourton-on-the Water, Broadway, Moreton-in-the-Marsh, Stow-on-the Wold, there is also the village of Bibury with its pretty stone cottages or the larger town of Chipping Campden home to one of England’s most charming High Streets.
