Every Monkeywood kitchen begins with thoughtful design, but just as importantly, with getting to know you. We take the time to understand your home, how you use the space and what you want from your kitchen.
We know that commissioning a bespoke kitchen is a significant investment – one that comes with a great deal of trust. We want the experience to be every bit as enjoyable as the finished result, which is why we guide you personally through every stage: from those first ideas and the design process, through manufacture in our workshop, to the final installation in your home.
Once the design is finalised, it comes to life in our Oxfordshire workshop, where every Monkeywood kitchen is handmade from start to finish.
We make all of our cabinetry in-house, including our own carcasses, which means we’re never restricted by standard sizes. Every element can be made specifically for your space, giving us the freedom to create a truly bespoke kitchen that works beautifully within your home.
Our workshop has everything we need to take a kitchen from raw materials through to the finished piece. We mill the hardwood for our frames and doors in-house, before each component is carefully cut, shaped and prepared by our skilled makers. From there, everything moves into our dedicated finishing rooms to be sprayed and hand-painted, before reaching the build area where your kitchen is assembled and carefully checked.
Once complete, our own team delivers and fits your kitchen. Keeping every stage within the Monkeywood team means that the people you place your trust in at the beginning are the same people responsible for bringing your kitchen to life. It gives us complete ownership of your project, allows us to maintain our standards at every stage and, most importantly, gives you the reassurance of knowing exactly who is looking after your home and your kitchen throughout.
