The perfect addition to any home is a bespoke home bar. Perfect for hosting parties or even just some where to relax of an evening. The brief for this job was to create a feature piece of furniture that would compliment and utilise the space. Built in an extension off of the kitchen, this bar was designed to be a feature in the arch way when looking through from the kitchen and dining area. As well as making the most of the views when you are sitting at the bar.
Curves were used in the design to soften the corners which really shows how Monkeywood can build a truly bespoke piece of furniture. Subtle, curved corners on the posts create breaks in the depths of the cupboards on the back wall on the base and top levels, whilst the large curved bar creates a softening aspect to the whole piece.
Mirrored backs were used on the unit to reflect the light from the patio doors as well as creating a sense of depth on the shallower wall units. Glass shelves were incorporated so that the LED lights from the top of the unit could shine down through the shelves which are home to the glass bottles.
A soft, grey was used for the cabinetry, paired with a durable white, quartz top to keep the room bright and airy. The over all result was a mix of soft shapes, practical surfaces and a perfect party venue!
