The perfect fit for a regency style building, this luxurious kitchen from our Ashton range has it all. It is the perfect example of how Monkeywood can produce a truly bespoke kitchen.
The extra tall units were designed and built to maximise storage space and make the most of the tall ceilings typical for this age building. A ladder was crafted with decorative, brass rails to be able to add practicality and be able to make the tall storage spaces easily accessible. Not only does this add useful storage space but it also adds grandeur to the kitchen.
The centre island creates a clear divide between the cooking area and the relaxing area. The cooking area is home to the AGA as well as the separate hob, with the seating area on the opposite side of the island close to the built in home bar. There is ample, mixed storage on every side of the island. This is a perfect example of how we design the kitchen around how you work as a family.
The colours of this kitchen were inspired by the customers interest in race cars. Using a dark green close to British racing green and representing the traditional dash board in Walnut. The Walnut creates point of interest in the kitchen and breaks up the solid colour. Built in appliances are fitted behind solid Walnut doors and a Walnut butchers block is featured on the end of the island. The customer, who is also a designer created a mood board which we used to create the perfect design and bring their vision to life.
With such a big room, it was decided early on that this was going to be one of the main entertaining spaces in the house. A bar area was incorporated into the tall bank of units including a wine fridge. Glazed units were built for the opposite side of the kitchen to create display storage, these, along with the bar were well lit to create warm, ambient lighting when the main lights are off.
