Overview
Our customers have undertaken a huge renovation project with this house. We were absolutely thrilled when they decided that Monkeywood would be designing and building the kitchen. We had a large area to work with and couldn’t wait to get designing extra tall cabinets to suit the heigh ceilings in this property. Our customer’s brief was to create a functional cooking space for entertaining and socializing with friends and family.
We had a vision of a traditional shaker kitchen that enhances the space and exudes grandeur, whilst still feeling homely and welcoming.
Results
The ultimate traditional shaker kitchen has been designed with front mounted plinths and molded cornice to create the grand and impressive look that we had hoped for. Little Greenes “Dock Blue” has been chosen by the customers and looks stunning against the parquet flooring and Bianco Fontana quartz worktop.
Tall floor to ceiling units have utilized the space available and are home to a large larder unit with spice racks and a bar area. We created a false chimney with alcoves which frames the aga perfectly and looks as though it has always been a part of the room.
The large island unit not only increases seating, Storage space and worksurfaces but also makes the perfect area for cooking and socializing with family and friends.
