What does 2024 hold for Monkeywood?

As 2023 comes to an end we are looking forward to what Bespoke Kitchen Trends in 2024 will hold. As some of you may know we are in the process of building a new workshop and showroom on Sugarswell business park. Our new premises will provide us and the members of the team with a lovely new workplace with state-of-the-art machinery and tools. The larger space will make everything that we do more efficient and streamlined. We are really excited about our new showroom and the opportunity to showcase how beautiful our bespoke kitchens and furniture truly are. Not only will 2024 bring a new workspace but we will be welcoming new members to the team.

Keep your eyes peeled at the beginning of the new year for introductions to our new staff members and our grand showroom opening.

Trends for 2024

With the new year fast approaching it’s always interesting to see what the predictions are for the coming year. Below are a few thoughts and ideas that we think will be popular in 2024.

Smart Appliances

With development and advancing technology we expect to see greater integration of smart appliances, voice control systems and connected devices in the kitchen. Imagine controlling your kitchen with simple voice commands or managing your grocery list through a smart refrigerator. Making life easier and more efficient.

Sustainable and Eco-friendly kitchen design

With an ever-growing awareness of looking after our environment and interest in sustainable kitchens we expect there to be more focus in 2024 on using eco-friendly appliances, water saving fixtures, energy saving appliances and composting systems.

Breakfast / Coffee Cupboards

This is a trend that is set to continue to grow over the coming years. We expect more and more of our customers to be requesting bespoke breakfast cupboards. A dedicated space to store coffee and tea making facilities along with breakfast items. Helping to hide away the chaos of the morning rush.

Warm, Rich, Colors

Monochromatic, all white or all black kitchens are no longer as popular as they once were. Instead, we are seeing an unexpected resurgence of more dramatic colors like rich browns, smoky reds and purples which are beginning to catch up with the green, blues and greys that have dominated our social media feeds for the last few years. A good balance of painted and wooden cabinetry can provide a space with personality and charm as well as warmth and depth from the stained wood.

Darker green colors are set to continue in popularity over the next year, alongside natural, organic elements like stone. In 2024 expect to also see color pallets found in nature bringing a refreshing ambiance to the kitchen.

Backsplash Blending

Whilst many people still like to opt for tiles for a kitchen backsplash, we are starting to see more and more people opt for slab effect. Using slabs of stone or quartz instead. The material used is often the same as the worktop, giving the kitchen a point a continuous flow and striking focal point. Plus, it’s easy to wipe clean.
